Our Open Call invites you to use your artistic practice to make a real impact in Rotterdam. We're looking for creators who dare to experiment with new collaborations—whether with a local business, a community initiative, or an activist group.

Four discourses are central to this Open Call: Ecology, Technology, Equality, and Inclusivity. Each theme is a lens through which we look at Rotterdam's challenges and possibilities. Choose your playing field and show how your work can make a difference.

From guerrilla tactics to diplomatic dialogue—all approaches are welcome, as long as they contribute to positive change.


Ecology

In a city that lies 80% below sea level, the climate crisis is not a distant threat. How can we creatively approach the tension between economic interests and ecological necessity?


Technology

Rotterdam is a city of doers and makers. But how do we translate that hands-on mentality into the digital age? We're looking for ways to make technology community-owned and community-driven again.


Equality

The most diverse city of the Netherlands is also the poorest—how do we break this pattern? We explore new models for fair distribution of resources, opportunities, and space.


Inclusivity

Rotterdam is raw, messy, and rich in subcultures. How do we maintain this identity in times of gentrification? We seek ways to make room for the unexpected.
